I thought it more believable to run away.
It seems you’ve been in jail on various occasions! What’s it like? Why was a tree so important? For the kids?
There were no kids at the time. I’m sentimental. Jail is just boring. I have not been to prison. That’s scary.
Boring with crappy bologna and cheese sandwiches. Do they serve those in San Francisco jail also?

I myself never got cheese, twas always bologna and bread. They included some strange soggy cookie every time though.
