  1. Ribbenhoover says:

Maybe the wart has an Uncle Gabby on the back of his head.

  2. John M. says:

You have weekies that still have comics in California? Wow. That’s like finding a place where you can smoke inside a bar.

  3. Dave says:

What weekly is that? LA Weekly doesn’t have any.

    Where are these wart details?

    • TonyMillion says:

seattle, portland me, portland or, austin, orlando, albuquerque, baltimore etc etc no california. la weekly fired us all at once.

  4. Eric says:

It reminds me of that thing on the side of Drew Brees’s face. I’m sure that thing has sharp little teeth and I even heard it hiss, “Satan is Lord”, once.

  5. Justin says:

Nice touch having the Irish characters point out that horrible monster of a wart in Gaeilge. Nice buildings and ship masts, too.

  6. michael says:

I know I have Fred Mertz on my chin.

  7. Luke says:

This comic made me hate R. Crumb

  8. Maattie says:

Uncle Gabby + Porn = Nightmares

  9. This reminds me of parts of Chester Brown’s “Ed the Happy Clown”.
    Well, one part anyway.

    • John M. says:

The part where the guy has a little person for a penis? I loved that comic.

Chester Brown used to draw such wild comics. Crazy and wild and great. And then he became introspective and autobiographical like his Toronto peers. Although the Louis Riel one was good. Some Metis guys bought me a couple of beers one night because I knew about Louis Riel.

Albuquerque has Maakies, but it is printed so small it is nearly illegible. A tragedy I have pointed out several times, but the Alibi doesn’t want to devote the space to real art. Those escort ads in the back are quite readable, tho…
