I’m going to New York in the coldest part of Winter. I’m going to cheer up the poor Easterners. There will be drinking and festive eating while I am there. The first, Desert Island will be on Thursday Jan 27 7-9pm.

Then there’s another one on Friday Jan 28 at Scott Eder’s Gallery in Brooklyn 6-9pm. I will be even drunker!! I want to go out after, but where? Maybe Jim Campbell knows good restaurant/bars in Brooklyn. I want food drink and joy! The Desert Island will be about books, the Eder Gallery will be about original art FOR SALE.

HOLY FUCK I just remembered the food! For four days I’ll be eating real pizza, an actual this is how you make it meatball sub, steak frittes, pastrami sandwiches, rat meat grilled on a stick…
And beer available on every corner…
Just curious, have you ever been to Newfoundland? Seems fitting somehow….
No, but I always wanted to drive from Gloucester straight up until the land turned to ice in summer. I never did it, now I want to stay warm all the time.
Hey Tony,
You should try the Indian food there!!!! Awesome… It goes well with beer and tika..

Yes, Newfoundland is famous for its tika, and going from mind-bending poverty to having over $5,000,000 is a joy for any lover of Canadian Indian food! Thanks for the kiss and hug, pal!
Indian food? No. Mind-bending poverty? Yes.
What are your general requirements, money-wise and logistically, for doing a gallery show, say, in Minneapolis? I mean, it’s cold and snowy here, we have lots of drunken drunks, and many of them love the art of the illustration and the cartoon.
First class airfare, luxury hotel $15,000 cash.
Don’t forget the 24 hour access to a Hummer limo – complete with hummers – and a daily orange/lavender marmalade massage.
Okay, how much for a show in Fargo?
Is it possible to buy a copy of this poster?
Contact the Scott Eder Gallery in Brooklyn. I’m sure he has some.
