A Wonderful Poet

I’ve been reading this Cormac McCarthy guy, don’t know how I missed him before. I’m reading Blood Meridian, JEEZEZ what a book! It’s as haunting as Moby Dick, bloody and real. The description of the landscape with these crazy desperate murdering fucks crawling all over it.
HEY let’s start a book club!
Remind me to send you my screenplay sometime.
Blood Meridian is amazing! Might be his best.
Try ‘The Wasp Factory’. You’ll never go to Scotland again. Or at all.
Richard recommends THE WASP FACTORY! Brief synopsis, please. Characters, time it’s set in, location. Are there any good shooting scenes? Ships?
GO!!! BOOK CLUB!!
No spoilers
The Comanchee attack in the beginning of the book is very strange. Like a bunch of madmen on horses, from various tribes, some mexicans, wearing wedding gowns, soldiers’ coats, tophats, like a traveling murder circus. And when they kill, they cut open the victims and fuck the knife holes!
