MAAKIES BY MY DAUGHTER. She saw it coming.

My estranged friend, Dr. Terrence Ross (IQ 147) sent me a special note telling me how much he loves this week’s strip. Thank you Ross, old friend, I will miss you…
I send the strip directly to him at http://www.mcleanhospital.org/ every week since the incident. It seems to cheer him, they say.
Having gotten a wee bit involved in this falling-out a while back…
dare I ask, Tony, WHAT incident?!
I can’t say. I’ve already said too much. Poor Ross….
Heavens to Betsy! Is that Captain Pissgums fallen on hard times?
I love S. Clay Wilson.
Well then, you should certainly express his mighty influence more often in your strips, as you do Patrick O’Brian’s. Especially with S. lying in bed mumbling about pirates, with a big bandage on his noggin. Perhaps a giant slapdown between the Captain’s Daughter and Star Eyed Stella. I sure miss Stella. And I bet S. would be honored.
Like.
It is my favorite strip in some time.
This really is one of the best Maakies in recent months. It looks like this guy was a lot of fun to draw.
Aaah… a chip off the ol’ Maak!
Excellent work, kid!
I love Kill Kill Kill!
If so she wishes to follow the path, your daughter will make a fine cartoonist someday.
Hooray!
That man has no nose!
How does he smell?
… Awful!
The Sacred Cows did that song in Get Smart

Painters & Dockers did a great version in the 80′s

I hated when Yoko sang and when Aline Kominsky drew, but your daughter has some real talent.
I’m just stealing jokes from them like I used to do with drinking buddies.
I apologize in advance for asking this, but my natural curiosity and skeptical nature got the best of me.
Did your daughter truly draw this? If so, BRAVO.
Just looking at the work, it sure looks like yours.
If I am missing an obvious or inside joke, then I’m the dumbass.
Or, maybe, I responded to this after too many drinks.
DOOK, DOOK, DOOK.
No, she said it about a bum when we were in the car. She’s 8.
Me- “He looks like he can hear voices in his head saying KILL, KILL.”
Phoebe- “He’s just wearing headphones.”
Pearl- “Maybe he has an iPod that’s saying KILL, KILL.”
Ooooooh. So your daughter didn’t draw it. Ooooooooh. Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh.
No, she wrote it. She’s 8. When she draws, it’s a bunch of scribbles with a face on it.
Ah… the back-story and the source of inspiration.
I am at peace now.
Advance apology accepted!
Ha!! That’s freakin awesome!
