I tend to agree with his decision. I had leeches–BIG ones– on me three times in my life when I was a child, and the goddamn things are my number one phobia with a bullet to this day. I NEVER swim in fresh water, since marine leeches are both rare & apparently only found in the undersea vegetation off the Carolinas.
