  1. Todd Alcott says:

I like it better as a straight narrative.

    • Jerry Pine says:

      What does that mean, huh?

      • John M. says:

I think it means he likes cartoons to have jokes.

        • TonyMillion says:

I don’t think that’s what he means, I think that’s what you want. I think he’s reading the sketches as a story, like hieroglyphics. I think John M. wants a joke. Well, as Gary Panter told me one time, I DON’T WANT TO GIVE THEM THAT COOKIE!

          • John M. says:

I don’t need a joke. Your humorous illustrations and bottom strip are sufficient for this week. I do think your Spongebob drawing captures what he looks like in real life, without makeup and such. He used to hang out at the Viking Bar in Minneapolis, before he got famous.

          • TonyMillion says:

            I used a mirror.

  2. Darren says:

    Hey… Mr. Krabs !
    How about a Krabby Patty?

  3. Bristow says:

I love “It’s A Mad Mad Mad Mad World”!

  4. Pandy says:

Were these created for some sort of specific Spongebob episode?

    Why were they rejected?

    • TonyMillion says:

      1. Sketches for a SB comic book.
      2. Why do you think?

      • Pandy says:

I DONT KNOW. Seems like Spongebob is often making strange faces like that. But I guess they were looking for a character design they could use throughout the comic, not just in a frame or two.

Still, I think you captured the essence of Pearl’s character better than the show does.

  5. jwbalsley says:

Have Drinky Crow or Uncle Gabby ever met Sponge Bob?

  6. Nic Farra says:

Here’s the thing: I like it when Spongebob has his little Crumb-like moments. Why not spread the love? I’ve often thought the very bloody nautical Millionaire would be aptly suited for one o’ dem ECUs wot they do. Grumble, mutter, mumble.

    • DHooligan says:

I think it’s rich for a crossover. You’d figure at some point some Crow/Monkey/Alligator limbs/organs would eventually sink to Pineapple Bottom. Wait, do severed limbs/organs float?

  7. Nic Farra says:

DAmint! I should just give up on bloody HTML tags: they’re too hard for me rum-addled pate!

  8. Kevin Joyce says:

Who is the girl between Spongebob and Batman?

  9. I think bogus Bob and his pseudopal Patrick should go on a crazed bender where they go to a whorehouse and get crabs and then give them to stick-up-his-ass neighbor Squidword (sp?). Hilarity ensues.

  10. Patrick says:

“Can’t sleep. Sponge Bob will eat me”.

  11. marzipan kugel ober says:

“beyond the ken?” “ken”? what do this means? i am sorry, my english is bad, my german is better. i don’t understand the sentenc. is this the joke?
