I didn’t know Gabby was the ship’s bosun until this strip.
What is Drinky?
When he was promoted to bosun he thought the captain said “gosun.”
Right, and then he fucked the ship’s goat. A ship would often have a goat on board to provide goat milk for the officers’ tea or coffee. Captain Aubrey had to deal with a man sentenced to death for sodomizing the goat when he took command of the “Sophie.”

What do you call the little comic underneath the main one? Whatever its called, this one was hilarious
I’ve heard it called a fumetti. I just call it the bottom strip. The trick is to sometimes put the better joke in the bottom strip, so that the reader feels he or she has “discovered” it. It’s like a secret joke, you feel that most people don’t go all the way down there.
An oily (early) strip was of King Louis XIV (or XVI ?) who moved into the whale after Jonah was evicted. He looked around, called in his decorators who discussed the matter -and they did an excellent job. All in 4 panels.
I THINK the main strip was of French crocodiles sinking Gabby’s and Drinky’s ship and after the two had drowned, Drinky says dying is like getting drunk…
